The text, Public Memory / Private Memory : Sifting Through the Invisible. examined the complexities of my relationship with a dying, Turkish friend specifically as it related to cultural misunderstandings, empathy and love. A video projection of Bury Me at Sea (in 5 shades of blue) served as the metaphor for a universal burial ground.
