My curiosity sits within the phenomenon of time—I’m interested in the perceived memories and imagined stories that arise as I go about my day. I make no distinction between my life and my artistic practice. The two intersect and collide, eventually landing in the place of remembrance through direct experience. This is the crux of my work. I love nothing more than to delve into a world riddled with the ubiquitous questions as to what is real, what is true, and how we come to decide.

Recent shows include the Five Miles Gallery, NY, Teacher’s College at Columbia University, The Brand Art Center and Reflect Space in Glendale, CA, Goethe-Institute in Barcelona Spain, Hessel Museum of Art, NY; Lishui Museum of Photography in China and Blind Dates at Pratt Manhattan Gallery. Awards include a recent Rauschenberg Foundation Emergency Medical Grant (acute myeloid leukemia), LMCC Process Grant at Governor’s Island; Five College Artist / Research Associate, Amherst, MA, CAAP Grant, Chicago, Illinois and the LaNapoule Foundation, Cannes, France.

I hold an MFA from Bard College, NY and a BFA in photography from the University of Colorado-Denver. Currently, I teach and advise students at Transart Institute, a low-residency MFA/Ph.D. program in partnership with LJMU Liverpool, UK. I have taught in graduate and undergraduate programs across the US including Hampshire College, the ICP-Bard MFA program and one-year programs at the International Center of Photography, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the New England College of Art MFA program.
